Trinity College Dublin’s School of Nursing and Midwifery has signed up as a partner to the See Change campaign. Representatives from See Change and the TCD School have held a number of meetings to examine how the two organisations can work more closely in a shared commitment to reduce the stigma of mental health problems.

The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Trinity College is one of Ireland’s leading Universities for nursing and midwifery education and the partnership represents a major step forward in achieving a key See Change objective – communicating and working with future and current service providers and medical practitioners in the field of mental health.

Beginning in the 2011/12 academic year, See Change and the School of Nursing and Midwifery will work together to integrate and streamline training and learning in the area of stigma and discrimination.

See Change is also working with the school to develop an important piece of research that will track attitudinal change in relation to mental health problems as students progress through their training. We’ll keep you up to date as these initiatives develop.
