This year, mental health is topping the bill at Electric Picnic’s Mindfield Arena and See Change will be there for the entire weekend to help spark discussion of mental health.
Headlining the Theatre Stage on Saturday 31st August at 8pm is See Change’s powerful theatre piece “Box of Frogs.”
Expect to laugh and cry as actress Mary McEvoy, comedian John Moynes and broadcaster Dil Wickremasinghe share their stories of personal experience with a mental health problem in a mixture of stories, comedy sketches and songs to de-mystify, debunk and ultimately have a laugh with what really goes on inside our heads.
This hilarious theatre piece comes to Mindfield fresh from a a hugely successful run at Dublin’s Smock Alley Theatre, a sell-out performance as part of the First Fortnight festival and a national theatre tour in May 2013.
Box of Frogs was written by Isobel Mahon, directed by Caroline FitzGerald and commissioned by See Change as a platform to share the real-life mental health experiences of real people, get people talking and challenge stigma.
